The Community Youth Council gives opportunity for youth to interact with community leaders from Leask area including Village of Leask, R.M of Leask, Mistawasis, and Muskeg Lake in formal meetings where the leaders are invited to share their experiences as leaders and youth to build leadership skills. 

At these meetings Community leaders and youth brainstorm and plan youth programs for the community.  Through these programs the youth have the opportuniy for hands-on experience organizing and coordinating community activities. 

One of the most effective parts of Comunity Youth Council is the inter-generational planning and collaborating that takes place at Youth Council meetings as well as at community events.  Youth and Community leadership have created a team to help our community meet the needs of its members.
