 Village Office Updates

  • Village Council: The Regular Council Meeting is rescheduled to January 22, 2020 at 6:30pm
  • Office Hours:
    • Village Office Closed This Week January 13 - 17
    • Effective Immediately the Village Office will be open Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 5:30pm (closed 12 noon – 12:45 for lunch)
  • Year End tax payments are due on December 31, 2019. Payments can be made at the Village Office by cheque, cash or money order. I'm sorry we do not accept Debit or Credit Cards.
    Year End Utilities: All overdue balances will be added to taxes on January 1, 2020
  • Animal Bylaw Notice.
    On Nov 7th, 2019 there was a large dog running around the Village. When this happens here's what you can do to help:
    1. Please do not approach unfamiliar animals!
    2. A picture is worth 1000 words, so if you could take a picture and email it to me that would be great! All pictures and correspondence is kept in confidence. Email at village.leask@sasktel.net
    3. Under our current bylaw, I only have to write one letter before fines can be issued.
    4. Fill out the complaint form attached to the bylaw (below) or send me an email explaining time, date etc. If you know the dog's name or owner that would be very helpful for me too.

PUBLIC WARNING: there are several junked vehicles in town. We are issuing a public warning that in 1 month we will be going out and issuing letters with removal notices for anyone that has junked vehicles in their yard. Attached is the Nuisance Bylaw.

Art Needed!

The Village of Leask is doing some renovations to the Medical Clinic and we are looking for local artists work!  If you would like to have a consignment picture or donate a painting to display in our Medical Clinic, please submit a photo of your work along with your  name and the year the work was completed.  We are looking for any framed artwork that can be hung.  Council will decide which artwork will be chosen for hanging.  Please submit a colour photo of your work to village.leask@sasktel.net
