PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that nominations of candidates for the office of:
Mayor: Village of Leask
Councillor: Village of Leask

will be received by the undersigned during regular business hours September 7th, 2020 to October 6th, 2020 and on the 7th day of October, 2020, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Village of Leask Office.

Soon there will be a sticker left on your garbage can if it's been refused. Because it's been so hot, you can imagine how gross the garbage is right now. Please make sure you bag your garbage, if it's wet, double bag it. If it's compost items, please take it to the compost area.
The free dump day will be this Saturday at 9:30 - 12:30pm - be sure you have it sorted by household, metal, wood etc. Covid rules will still apply and you will have to unload your dump items so bring a friend if you have lots or it's too heavy for you to handle yourself. Stay safe everyone!
Leask Wapiti Library Hours
We are restricted to 3 patrons in library at one time.
With safe book handling procedures requested items are taking longer to arrive.
Community Book Club
Meeting first Tuesday of month,
Beginning October 6 at 7:30 pm
First meeting will be discussion on your favorite authors and what new authors you have read recently.
Physical distancing will be practiced.

As a PRECAUTION the Village Council has decided to close all municipal buildings until further notice. Any or all events at the Rink, Community Hall, Legion, Library, Seniors Centre etc have been CANCELLED for a minimum of 2 weeks. I can't stress enough that this is just as a PRECAUTION and I will keep everyone posted as news comes in. Water, sewer, garbage pick up, snow removal etc will still be operational.
