The Village landfill is located on SE-3-47-5-W3, approximately four miles east of the south entrance into Leask.

Notice to Residents
The landfill be closed November 1, 2018 through to March 31, 2019.
The landfill will reopen on April 1, 2019 and will be open on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month only.
Landfill will NOT be open on days when the combined temperature with the windchill factor is -40 degrees Celcius or lower at 9:00 am according to Prince Albert radio station forecasts, during severe snow conditions, or before roads have been opened to the landfill.
What things will be picked up by the Village employees?
Garbage to be picked up for removal by Village staff must be kept in covered, fly proof and water tight containers. The containers must be equipped with handles and not have a capacity greater than seventeen gallons by volume. The container shall be securely fastened on a stand or hanger and where plastic bas is used as a container or liner, it should be stored in a manner that will preclude it from being torn by animals and birds. Torn bags and/or scattered garbage will not be picked up by Village staff. Large items not able to be stored in such containers – ei. Furniture, appliances, plumbing fixtures, large trees or branches will not be picked up by Village staff. Householders will be responsible for removing such items to the waste disposal grounds on their own, or hiring a third party to do so.
Can I burn my garbage?
No person shall burn any refuse, household garbage or commercial waste. Burning barrels must not be used in the Village.
The Village of Leask now has a Single Stream Recycling program with pickup from residents on alternate Tuesdays from regular garbage pickup.
Please have your Blue Box at your garbage stand on the morning of pickup. Cardboard can still be placed in the bins located north of the Car Wash.
Please note that the recycling program and the bins for recycling of card board, are for Village Residents only. Any questions regarding the recycling program or to purchase additional Blue Boxes, please contact the Village Office.

The R.M. of Leask transfer station is located west of Leask on Highway 12 approximately 1.5 miles south of Martin’s Lake Regional Park.

The RM now has a Single Stream Recycling program with drop off in appropriate bins at our Transfer Station located West of Leask on Highway No 12 approx. 1.5 miles South of Martin's Lake Regional Park. We accept residential and commercial cardboard, newsprint, magazines, office paper, plastics, beverage containers, aluminum and tin.
